He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.. Matthew 25:32-33
When the final war comes people will be asked to bring their pets to the gathering. All of the cats will be placed on one side, and all the dogs on the other. Cats will be saved, dogs will be destroyed.
When the final war comes people will be separated just like dogs and cats. Those with blue eyes will be placed on one side; those with brown eyes will be placed on the other. One group will be ushered into the kingdom of heaven, the other into hell.
When Jesus spoke of sheep and goats the shepherds were understandably upset. You might separate sheep and goats for shearing, but that doesn’t mean that one species is better than the other. They both give good meat, their coats are equally useful, and both give milk. One group needs pasture, the other prefers scrub. Together they ensure that all available land is used. Nothing wasted. Why would you say one group was good and the other evil? That just doesn’t make any sense.
The truth is that in any demographic there are good, bad, and and a whole rainbow or labels in between. If you think that your demographic is the chosen one you miss the point.
Seriously, why should cats be saved and dogs destroyed?
Why are brown eyes better than blue?
Sheep than goats?
Sometimes it’s not so easy to see the obvious in a story.
All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left. Matthew 25:32-33
